PART 10: INVESTING IN COMMEMORATIVE ITEMS

Dear Friends,

I hope I've provided enough knowledge and skills to those who have been following my Blog on the different types of alternative investments one can go for:

This part covers investments in First Day Covers, MRT Cards Series, Commemorative Phone Card Series, SmartCard, Commemorative Postcards Series, Commemorative posters etc.

1.) 1973 FIRST DAY COVER &
1994 FIRST DAY COVER.
WHY CORALS & REEF LIFE SERIES? Marine life forms are being threatened by pollution and global warming. Many corals are now classified as endangered species and on the brink of extinction. This First Day Cover is good enough to remind us of our oceans and seas and what we will not be able to see in another decade or so.

2.) MRT Cards --- Set of 4 series. Look carefully at the map of Singapore with the 1st rail track constructed by SMRT many years ago. I keep MRT cards that consist of maps and rail lines as commemorative reminder of our efforts in building a world-class MRT system.

3.) Same here. These single-trip souvenir MRT cards featured maps and initial rail lines. The reverse are splashed with tourist attractions. Collector's items - full set being sought after nowadays.
 4. ) MILLENNIUM COMMEMORATIVE NATIONAL DAY PHONE DAY (in Limited Edition). Also Limited Mintages. Y2K is a year to remember when we crossed over to a new millennium. Now, you should understand why it has to be year 2000 and not year 2001 or 2002, 2003 ...
5.) Before we stepped into a new millennium, we have counted down to year 1999. It was also a memorable year, important enough to deserve our attention.
6.) The first SMARTCARD launched in Singapore, featuring the Straits Settlements.

7.) Series of limited edition Postcards in Mint Condition (Commemorative). Comes with a limited edition poster (Photo not available yet).

8.) *** Thousands of Stamps from around the World. (Photos not available --- too many to feature. Send in your enquiry if you want more details.)

  1. It is important for students to always make sure that the pen has the right ink, and that it is of high quality. The ink should not fade or dry up easily. Here you can find out more about pens for journaling.
